Red Carpet Jewels - The Diamonds That Stole The Show

THE DIAMONDS THAT STOLE THE SHOW...

Rich Diamonds has made looking for the most stunning statement jewels so much easier. Red carpet jewellery has been a trend followed and documented for years. Every celebrity desires to have their name on the best-dressed list and what better way to do so than with striking diamonds. Rich Diamonds have researched some of the most iconic, jaw-dropping jewels throughout the years and come up with our own comparable creations.

The Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes and Emmys have seen some of the most acclaimed stars express themselves with diamonds. Award ceremonies love to indulge in lavish and extravagant jewels worn by famous faces. Here are our favourite picks throughout the years of the red carpet.

EMERALD CITY

The icon of the acting world, Angelina Jolie never fails to look fabulous in jewels. At the 2009 Oscars, the Lorraine Schwartz addition added a pop of colour to a black Elie Saab dress, giving her the traditional, gorgeous red carpet glow. With our beautiful emerald jewels, you can look as magnificent as she did.

Rich Diamonds have similar design; a pair of 18k white gold emerald and diamond drop earrings.

BLUE LAGOON

The famous Titanic jewel made an appearance at the 1998 Oscars, worn by Gloria Stuart, the actress who played 100-year-old Rose in the film. An almost identical design was recreated by Harry Winston and holds the title of the most expensive piece of jewellery ever worn to the Oscars.

Although nothing could possibly compare to this piece, our truly elegant ring could be a good match. It is an 18k white gold diamond and blue topaz dress ring that would look wonderful with the blue diamond necklace.

CHIC CHANDELIERS

Dame Helen Mirren, the ever so classy actress well known for her role as Elizabeth II in The Queen, accessorised with this impressive pair of Chopard chandelier earrings, matching her deep ruby dress flawlessly. Chandelier earrings are real statement pieces and have rocked the red carpet jewellery trend for years.

Recreating this look can be effortlessly done with our gorgeous 18k white gold diamond and ruby earrings. Each earring is composed of openwork geometric design, suspended from a pave set round brilliant cut diamond heart stud, completely breath-taking for an evening do.

PERFECT PEARLS

1954 was the year the iconic Audrey Hepburn stunned the audience at the 26th annual Academy Awards with her simplistic but elegant pearl drop earrings, complementing her white floral Givenchy gown. Grace Kelly was photographed the year after wearing similar pearls.

Rich Diamond's version of the timeless classic is an 18k white gold pair of diamond pearl drop earrings, each composed of a white pearl from which pave set diamond detailing leads to a single round brilliant cut diamond.

INTO THE WILD

Celebrities like Anna Farris prefer to shake things up slightly. While most dress from head-to-toe in elegant jewels, a gecko was her preferred accessory to an already bold canary yellow Monique Lhuillier gown at the 2013 Emmy Awards.

Tiffany & Co, a brand famous for their extravagant diamonds, have an almost identical design of the original, reeling in white pave set diamonds instead. It's a striking concept if you want something a bit different.

Halle Berry turned heads at the 2014 Emmys by wearing Dove's Amethyst and Mother of Pearl Earrings that perfectly complimented her blush pink dress.

We believe you can recreate this look with a delightful pair of amethyst and diamond drop earrings by Pomellato in 18k rose gold.

The faceted amethyst pear shape drops have a pave diamond and amethyst surmount suspended from three interlinking gold loops.
